Herman Cain said Thursday night he?ll decide by Monday whether he continues or suspends his campaign for president, as the Atlanta woman who claimed to have had a 13-year affair with him described the relationship as ?a sexual affair.?
Cain for the first time set Monday as the deadline to determine if his campaign will continue. It marked the second day of a media tour on which Cain is publicly musing about whether he will stay in the Republican race.

Meanwhile on MSNBC, Ginger White, the Atlanta woman who on Monday accused Cain of having a 13-year affair with her, confirmed Cain?s contention that he had been helping her financially ? but stressed that the relationship was sexual. Asked by host Lawrence O?Donnell if Cain ever told her he loved her, White replied: ?Never. And nor did I tell him that I loved him. It wasn?t a love affair. It was a sexual affair, as hard as that is for me to say and as hard as it is for people to hear it. You know, it pretty much is what it is. And that?s what it was.?
Cain, again, denied this charge during his 30-minute Hannity interview. He also repeated that his wife, Gloria, was not aware of his financial support for Ginger White before she accused him of adultery Monday, a statement he first made to the Union Leader in Manchester earlier in the day. He added that she is just one of many people he has given money to without his wife?s knowledge, a group that he said includes a man.
?She was hurt that she didn?t know about this friend that I was helping financially,? Cain said. ?She was aware of many of the other friends that I have helped. There has been a male friend that I have helped that she didn?t know about because it wasn?t a big deal. I wasn?t intentionally trying to keep it from her. And so yes, but, I have talked to my wife and I have been totally honest with her. She has forgiven me and she loves me. She?s ready to move on, it?s just that the media isn?t ready to move on, which is why we have to re-assess this. The discussions between my wife and I, those are coming along fine.?
And Cain said that he hopes to gather enough evidence to disprove White?s claims.
?Sean, do me a favor, lets not play detective. Here?s the deal. I am going to prove that I am going to re-establish my character, okay? We are working on that. My attorney is working on that. We are going to work on that. But I don?t want to play detective right now, with all due respect, okay? Because I want to do the assessment that we got to do. Every time a new bit of information comes up, that stipulates another story in the media, and that hurts my family and my wife, and that hurts me.?
