Sir W. S. Gilbert and Sir Arthur Sullivan?s unique musical style and incomparable word play make ?The Pirates of Penzance? one of their most beloved works in a canon that includes timeless classics such as ?The Mikado? and ?HMS Pinafore.? Their uncanny ability to weave wit and melody paved the way for many great comedic talents of the modern age, influencing, among many others, Monty Python, Looney Tunes, The Simpsons and even Aaron Sorkin, and planted the seeds for modern musical theater.

?The Pirates of Penzance? is the story of a young man named Frederick, the son of a wealthy 19th century man who wants to be apprenticed as a pilot, but due to a hard-of-hearing nursery maid, was instead indentured to a band pirates! And not just any pirates, but the not-so-fierce "Pirates of Penzance.? After 21 years, his indentures are over and Frederick's sense of duty calls him to rid the seas of these rather simple ruffians. Featuring classic songs such as ?I am a Pirate King,? ?With Cat-Like Tread,? and ?I am the Very Model of a Modern Major-General,? ?The Pirates of Penzance? is sure to charm the ear and tickle the funny bone!

This cast features talented students from all over Massachusetts, including: Kristen Annese, Matthew Greene, Micaela Kluver, Nick LaFlamme, Joshua Parham and Alycia Patterson, all of Bridgewater; Catherine Hawes and Colin Sullivan of Brockton; Candace Dornan of Canton; Matt Stone and Kelsey Lawson of Plymouth; and Sarah Albergaria of Taunton.
